LumEfficient’s LiFi Enabled Desk Lamp recognized as unique and significant advancement to lighting

Brentwood, TN – August 10, 2018 – LumEfficient’s LiFi Enabled Desk Lamp is a forefront to the innovative LiFi industry.  Randy Reid understands the technology is in the early stages of adoption and desires to teach others about the company’s technologically advanced products at the IES Annual Conference.  In addition to conducting a live demonstration to show LiFi’s unique value, he will discuss the benefits of these products and the accessibility and future of the technology.

Randy is bringing LumEfficient’s vast knowledge of the LiFi product to the IES Annual Conference and will be speaking on the differences between the traditional radio connective WiFi, and LiFi.  He will discuss the main threats of disruption to the traditional WiFi network, namely LiFi’s speed, security, and safety.

LiFi Enabled Desk Lamp Benefits and Expectations

The Internet of Things has been exponentially growing in today’s market and is not on track to slow down.  WiFi operates on radio frequencies (RF) and is struggling to maintain effectiveness and efficient connectivity with the exponential growth of IOT.  The bandwidth of WiFi cannot withstand the high demand from servers across the globe and is becoming a squeezed resource for connectivity.  Reid will explain how LiFi can operate on a completely different frequency and server network with a facilitation of light frequencies covering over 1000 times more plentiful frequencies than radio.  This connective performance will eliminate the load slow times and server downtimes frequently experienced while on WiFi.  Establishing a LiFi connection will provide quicker rate of recurrences, higher server efficiency, and a decentralized network of wireless connection.

At the IES Annual Conference, Reid will emphasize and demonstrate the value of a safe and secure network.  As the Internet of Things has exponentially grown to plentiful servers and devices, the opportunities for a security breaches have become more common than ever before.  In the home or office space, LiFi is exposed only to the area of light that it reaches, preventing breaches through walls or any area outside of the concentrated lighting area.  The luminaire will only connect to the devices fixated within the lighting frequency and can still communicate to other services outside of the network without risk of security breach.

About LumEfficient

LumEfficient, located in Nashville, began its business in 2010 selling LUXIM’s Light Emitting Plasma (LEP.)  As LED technology continued to improve in efficiency and reliability, LumEfficient gradually began replacing their entire LUXIM brand of LEP luminaires with the Resilient brand of LED luminaires.   Although LumEfficient products are designed for heavy industrial use, most are sold in the general lighting market because of their competitive price points.   LumEfficient has luminaires installed throughout the U.S, as well as India, Russia, Thailand, Germany and the UK.

Subscribe to our Youtube channel! We recently created it to educate the world about our innovative product.  We have demonstration videos listed and will soon have infographics to further understand the technology of LiFi.
